Recover Soaps was launched in Singapore in 2020, amid the heightened focus on hygiene during the COVID-19 pandemic. Walking through local supermarkets we noticed long aisles of products packaged in single-use plastic packaging and could only imagine its impact on landfills.

In Singapore, hundreds of thousands of single-use home cleaning plastic bottles are thrown away annually, generating tonnes of carbon emissions from their production and end-of-life incineration. 

Motivated by the urgent need for alternatives, we set out to create access to more natural home cleaning products whilst building awareness and opportunities for people to reduce, reuse and manage their plastic waste.
